ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Curiouser, and curiouser, mate...

I do hope that they're alright, like.

However, should we lose to Palace today, then I fully expect them to make a hasty recovery, and be back on here as quick as a flash. šŸ¤”

What 'other' stats did they quote you, mate?

Made up ones, like the 'Idea ball' stats that they conjured up for Thiago when it started becoming painfully apparent that he was rubbish? šŸ˜‚

As for Salah, he's already got his big payday. Hopefully, he's got one eye on retiring to the Saudi league next season!
But according to the red media when thiago kicked the ball it sounded different to every other player.

RS fans and Van Dijk using the Jota passing as an excuse for their last 3 games is disgraceful. Now, you could understand if those defeats came in their first 3 games of the season but they didn’t, before the Palace game they had won their first 5 prem league games, they had beaten Southampton in the cup and Atletico in the champions league. Now Jota’s passing away is their excuse for the last 3 games, as I say, disgraceful.

That's why I don't want to go over the top laughing about Wirtz and Isak. Much as I'm enjoying their slow start.

Caicedo's first season at Chelsea, he was just kicking people.
Wirtz will eventually click. At Leverkusen, Wirtz was the main guy everything went through he got the ball in good spots, drove at defenders, and made things happen. At Liverpool, he’s more just one of a few (several?)creative players instead of being the central focus. Which is why slot will have to drop (consistently) one of the others.

After MOTD, on a Saturday night, there is a 20 minute progamme titled 'Hugo Ekitike: The Football Interview'. I know that this happens at some time on the BBC for EVERY transfer but it's a bit much on a Saturday night. When we sign a player the 'interview' video is usually buried late on a Tuesday night. Maybe the BBC are trying to redress the imbalance of the unfavourable treatment that the RS get from the media.

On sky yesterday there was a half hour programme called wunderkind-it was about wirtz apparently, I didn't watch it myself. But I imagine it was about the strengths of his game so I expect there was contributions from seb coe, steve cram, mo farah and other people who are great at making runs.

I mean it’s a fair shout tbh, discrediting grief is a bit low IMO.
Sure, sure, Bry... If the grief is legitimate then I šŸ’Æ% agree with you.

But when it comes to that lot, you've got to take everything with a pinch of salt.

When Chelsea's winner hit the back of the net deep into stoppage time last night, I somehow doubt that their lapse of concentration during those few critical seconds was caused by the players being struck by grief because the memory of their dearly departed teammate suddenly entered all of their collective thoughts at the exact same moment. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

It's a pisspoor excuse to use for losing, IMO.
