When chatting to my RS mates, they've mentioned that goals and assists aren't everything, and other stats and anecdotal are just as important.

To be fair, I do agree with their point to some extent because we get stuck on specific contributions, but the issue is they couldn't provide valuable stats.

When you're clutching at straws to justify his position in the XI, let alone his astronomical price tag, you know something must be amiss.

For me, he appears too slow on the ball (too many touches) and he is struggling with the lack of space and time he will get over here.

What's worse for them, Salah looks disinterested!

Yeah, I get that, Michael Carrick springs to mind, the unsung hero type.
But for me so far Wirtz has offered nothing and gives the ball away far too much.
It's not that he doesn't do anything special (although you would expect it for the price) but he can't even do the simple things right, like find a team mate.
Early days but for the price I think the world expected something of an upgrade on what they sold, he's a downgrade.
