ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Sky need to get a f'kn grip on reality have a banner of Van Disney dressed as a Knight with a sword on their main PL page.

Absolute departure from reality.

If you ever thought the PL was corrupt here's your evidence Sky are the biggest funder of the PL.

Objective Journalism right there.

You'd only see it in Wrestling, its not sport anymore its contrived entertainment for those who'd look at that and think that isn' crass and bananas.

Saps.

*Vomits.

Looks like Old Trafford in the background 😆

On TalkSport the other night, while they did acknowledge Arsenal played well, all the talk was that 'this Madrid side are terrible', 'they're cooked', 'worst Madrid side for years and years' etc. This is despite the small matters of Vinicius, Mbappe, Bellingham and the rest. It's not like it was Grasshoppers Of Zurich for God's sake.

I wonder how different the chat would have gone had it been those shoestring Reds webbing them all over the shop 5-1. I'm hazarding a guess it would have been the greatest victory since Agincourt, and proof of them being the greatest side in the world... Hmm?
It's amazing the effect that commentators and pundits have on what becomes the accepted 'truth'. This Madrid side, as you say, are demonstrably not the worst for many years and are packed full of world stars. Good on Arsenal.

One thing I have heard on both occasions I have watched a RS game this season (both derbies) is a routine bit of defending by Van Dyke sensationalised. The first was that the ball was 'headed away imperiously' and the second when defending a corner that he 'masterfully commands the box' as he pointed to one of his colleagues to mark an Everton player. They deify RS players and then through commentary like this just make it a self-sustaining 'truth'. I wouldn't mind but in both games VD wasn't the best defender on the pitch, or even in red but the myth goes on.
