ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Some of their signings might come good and i think Ekitike has been better than some but they really don't help themselves. I think he got a double against Newcastle earlier in the year and there was talk of him being similar to prime Torres from both their fans and the media.

“ both their fans and the media” . Isn’t that the same thing?

I've got a lot of time for Stuart Pearce but even he mentioned on the radio that Jota was one of the reasons the RS had lost form this season. 😲
It's amazing how they managed to win the League the season after Hillsborough (and Heysel). Maybe it is only the death of players that affects the rabble.

Bringing in Stevie-G-lar and watching him fail in much the same way would be the chefs kiss for me on their season.

I’m not sure I have the words to explain how much I’d enjoy it , providing he failed that is .

It seems pretty clear he wants it interim since he’s been in the tv/internet pretty much continuously for the last couple of weeks . My only worry would be if he got a reaction from the crowd , which he could get , and that scored first against PSG we’ve all since that movie before . The players seemed to have downed tools so short term could be provide a boost , unfortunately yes.

I need to stress I think he’s shown himself to be a poor manager but I do think it’s possible he’d get a reaction . If he failed it’d be something glorious to watch but that lot are the devils club .

Wasnt there some crazy amount of tax he'd have to pay if he took the job?

We need a gradual decline in the squad quality that they don’t notice until they look one day and see a squad shorn of any real world class players and they almost have to go back to where they were before Klopp came in and require a massive rebuild.

It’s already started and hopefully if the current management stick around it will continue for a few more windows.

At their peaks Allison Van Dijk Alexander Arnold Robertson Fabinho Diaz Mane Firmino Salah were all world class players. I’d throw Matip in as an extremely good CB too.

Marmadashvilli isn’t as good
Frimpong isn’t Alexander Arnold
Kerkez isn’t Robertson
Gakpo is a poor relation to Diaz or Mane
Wirtz isn’t offering what Firmino did
Gravenberch is worse than Fabinho
Van Dijk and Salah have both fallen off a cliff and will take massive money to get players to be as good as them.

They’ve taken a huge bet on Isak Wirtz and Ekitike and one is a crock, one looks well off the pace and they’re just hoping Ekitike becomes one of the best players in the world to rescue them.
