ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Can’t wait to see Jeremy in action.
Apparently he’s strong and smart and will be the new Virgin Van.
Damn them, another Slot master stroke.
He must have some bad players around him currently as the newly crowned best defender in the world was part of a Rennes defence that conceded 3 last night, 4 on Saturday and 2 the weekend before.

Not to worry though, fella's in my work reckon he's taking it easy now to avoid injury as he's secured his dream move to his boyhood club in the summer and wants to get off to a good start so he can build a partnership with his idol.

See Carragher that bastion of honour and integrity has brought up the Everton/ Aston Villa swap deal again. Saying it still doesn't sit well with him, well dearie me, in the times of clubs selling Hotels to themselves and clubs earning fortunes with selling players to the Saudis for much more than their worth, Jamie, that one deal sends you over the edge. Nothing to do with it involving Everton I suppose.

He spat at a child and didn't then have the decency to resign and fade away.
His opinion counts for Jack

Obviously i get why the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal are popular in Ireland because both those clubs had a lot of Irish players over the years.

The popularity of the rs in the Irish Republic has always been peculiar to me though. The club was founded by a member of the orange order and i think their first secretary manager was an orange man as well.

They had a player from the south of Ireland a native of county Wexford called Bill Lacey who played for them from 1912 to 1924. He also played for us before going across the park.

The rs then went fifty five years without signing a player from the south of Ireland until they signed Ronnie Whelan in 1979. Is all this just one big coincidence or did the rs enforce an unofficial signing policy back in the day?

Speaking on the latest episode of The Overlap, Carragher explained that when Lewis Dobbin was sold to Aston Villa due to PSR issues, it really ‘didn’t feel right’.
“You used the word murky and that’s it just feels like players getting moved about and sometimes I’ve seen it in England in the last few years when PSR kicked off and I just felt like certain players were getting treated like cattle,” Carragher stated.

I wonder if Carragher's 'murky' morality extends to lfc.

Liverpool have been given a £100,000 fine and banned from registering academy players after being found guilty of 'tapping up' a young player at Stoke City.

The club were found to have offered to pay the 12-year-old Stoke youngster's school fees, as well as speaking to the player out of turn while still at Stoke, and paying for him and some of his family to attend a match at Anfield.

Liverpool were found in breach of Premier League rule 299.1, which states: “no Club shall induce or attempt to induce a player to become registered as an Academy Player by that Club by offering him, or any person connected with him, either directly or indirectly, a benefit or payment of any description whether in cash or in kind."

Liverpool have accepted their punishment, issuing a short statement which said simply: "The club accepts the sanction."

The Reds will be banned from signing any academy players who have been registered with a Premier League or EFL club in the previous 18 months.

Although the ban is for two years the second 12 months has been suspended for a three-year period and will only be activated should the club be found guilty of a similar breach.

It's a big blow for Liverpool, who now won't be able to add any promising youth players to their team at least for another year. Players like Raheem Sterling, Jordan Ibe, and this year's debutants Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ben Woodburn and Ovie Ejaria all arrived in this fashion, and cutting off the supply even for a year could set their academy back. It's not a crippling blow, but it's one that hurts".

One element of Lfcs business model is built on treating players like cattle to be traded. Getting youngsters in and selling them for £20 million plus Ibe, Sterling, Carvalho, Solanke etc., it's vital for their balance sheet. But because we and Villa used their mechanism we are 'murky'. Carragher's hypocrisy knows no bounds. Odd that this comes up now, when Villa are challenging them for top 4.

And Tories. Hence why the Chairman/owner of the ground tried to screw Everton over...
