I have a shameful confession to make.

Back in the 80s I used to play five a side, and one week shirts had to be changed to make the teams mostly in the same colour.

Somebody on the other side took my Hafnia Everton shirt, and I had to wear a Crown Paints RS top.

I should have refused and stormed out, but I didn't. It plagues me to this day.

Perhaps the misery which has largely been performed on the pitch since has been my karma.

You are correct. Why I didn't call for that option mystifies me to this day.

Yet oddly enough the act of sharing it makes me feel somehow lighter. It could be worse, I could have been caught singing to the dirge before a derby. There are always more heinous acts.
