ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

There’s some BS on the bbc site (sorry if it’s been posted above) about giving 5 cms leeway owing to the inaccuracies of the technology. It’s estimated to apparently add 20 goals a season. Ridiculous now making excuses for bogus decisions. Still mad about betos disallowed effort last year at Southampton
5cm leeway for the attacker?

Because I can tell you right now we’ve seen a number of instances where the attacker has been level with the defender and it’s been chalked off by a margin so minuscule it couldn’t be seen, and we’ve just had to take VAR at its word.

What really confuses me is why they showed a computer generated image where Wirtz is onside, and that was the justification during the match of why the goal was allowed.

Was this image just completely fabricated for sky sports use? Or does it imply all CGI offside images we are shown have the attacker moved back 5cm for this magic allowance?
What has been widely shown does not align with the reasoning they have given for allowing it.

If lfc don't get Champions league this season they're be in financial difficulties. The last time they failed they lost £57 million in revenue. According to the new Birmingham owner, Wagner, the Premier 'Elite' need protecting financially.

"Speaking at The Summit, part of Leaders Week London 2025, Wagner, an American investor, said: "I think the top clubs in English football have to be protected at all costs. We can't take too much from the top clubs to support the pyramid.

"If you have a situation where the top teams are not dominant, I mean internationally, with the very best players and product, then the interest will wane - particularly from the US market which will drive interest and capital flows into football.

"I love the pyramid – we have experienced a lot of it - but the top clubs that are highly successful have significant brand value and draw interest. We hope that interest will help grow the entire pyramid."

That's absolutely astounded me seeing a new rule rolled in typical fashion that benefits only Liverpool. 5cm allowance?! Dafuq? That's insane.

Dermot feigned surprise when he stated this rule has been going for four and a half years and everyone should know about it. Has it ? Should I know ? Sorry Dermot you're talking through you're big club supporting arse again.

I gave up with the offside technology when Lukaku was given offside against them when he scored for Chelsea in the league cup final. He was so onside there was daylight between them, he wasn’t even level he was onside, the they spent five minutes finding a certain camera angle and drew a line about a meter wide from about a yard beyond the end of his hand pointing where he wanted the ball to the Liverpool players foot and coloured it red even though it still looked level and said it was offside.

That gobshite needs to bugger off back across the pond, because that’s not how football works or should work, soft lad.

He wants more protection for them…..Kinell, what next?

They don’t even get the same points deductions when they stuff up ffp.

They get no punishment for trying to kill the very football pyramid he’s banging on about being so brilliant. Just koff.

With Amorin going and having all the headlines, do you think the rs will follow suit and sack Slot? You know they dont like it if someone else has the limelight 🤣🤣
