ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I was (pleasantly) surprised that a lot on RAWK were pushing back against the Chiesa chant, realising what an insult it was and what terrible optics it causes.

This morning one of them posts this though:

Talk about lack of self-awareness and ahistoricism.
No one has mentioned it before out of fear of reprisals. It's what they do, take offence at something and start a witch hunt

If ever there was a fella who deserved death threats its that Scouse separatist bellend, makes out he was one of the boys, his " two tribes ', book is bullshit, his uber scouse act is laughable as is his hard man act

I must say the red-on-red skirmishes are hilarious.

"For me, the abuse has taught me something: You’ll Never Walk Alone is a self-serving myth" says Evans

"We'll kill yer, yer dinosaur" say his detractors.

It's their go to setting, agree with us or die, the al qaeda of football

They've been called out on their tragedy chant and hate it.

Evans is well connected in terms of his association with TAW etc and all the other older guard fanzines and their contributors - hence Simon Hughes weighed in in his defence in the Athletic - but he's pulled the pin on himself with this new lot. They had their chant and they wont surrender it easily and they wont forget what Evans has said either.

I hope Tony Evans has got broad shoulders, because he's going to need them.

I don’t know how Chiesa and Marmadashvilli can be at the club though (40 mill combined), because as they keep telling everyone, they didn’t buy anyone last season?

Come on, you remember. They turned up at the training ground on bikes, with their boots tied around the crossbar by the laces, wearing their dads' Crown Paints kit. Boyhood reds they were, begging for a kick about. They played for sandwiches.
