As an Evertonian, even I have to say he was light years better than them two, possibly something to do with them two staying in Scotland to play their football, counted for them and against Alan Hansen. Hope he gets better great footballer in his time, more the John Stones type and a very decent football analyst too.

Individually, Hanson was the better defender, but Miller, Mcleish (and Jim Leighton) were playing club football together, so worked better as a partnership. Also don't forget the Scottish league was one of the best in Europe in the 80s
