As long as they don’t go this summer then any foreign team could sign a pre-contract with them in January to leave on a free at the end of the summer. I expect they’ll tie down Alexander Arnold to a manga contract but will Salah and Van Dijk’s egos accept a pay cut?

I was a bit surprised people thought he'd leave this summer. Why would you let the club get £100 million when you could get a much bigger signing on fees with no transfer fee involved. Alexander Arnold will go to Madrid, following the path of McManaman and Owen. Van Dijk will go to the home for retired racehorses, as he used to be a thoroughbred but is now a donkey.
