Current table is now :
Liverpool : played 29 points 82
Man city : played 28 points 57
Liverpool need to be 25 points clear after the derby to win the title cause City will only be able to get 24 points. Thus if City lose their next 2 games liverpool will be champs before the derby.
If City pick up 1 point from their next 2 games liverpool will need a draw or win to win the title at Goodison.
If City pick up 2 or 3 points from their next 2 games liverpool will need to win at Goodison to win the title.
If City pick up 4 or more points from their next 2 games Liverpool cannot win the title at Goodison.
Yep. If City get beat by Arsenal and Burnley, they win it at GP regardless.
If City lose 1 and win 1 then the RS will need a win at Goodison.
If City lose and draw then the RS will only need a point to win the league at GP
I could be wrong.
Quoted your post from the todays football thread, yeah looks like we both worked out the same.
Moving the bloody Arsenal game to this week has made things worse. It went from city needing 1 point from 2 games to 4 points from 3 games. One of them (United today) has now gone so they have to get 4 points from Burnley and Arsenal rather than just 1 from Burnley. Both City games are at home so most likely way of doing things is 3 points from burnley and 1 from arsenal.
Obviously if we beat Liverpool it's all irrelevant as long as city get a point. Problem with that is it requires us beating Liverpool. Bastards.
I don't have the hatred for them like a lot do and its pretty much guaranteed they've won the title now, sucks but i'll get over it. I just sure as hell don't want them winning it at Goodison, i wouldn't want anyone other than us to win it here but with them it will be even worse cause that's all you're see for months and years to come.
