ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Some of the utter garbage they post on-line about us is just laughable. The latest is some clueless beaut comparing their crowd against Lincoln to the one we got against the same club in the FA Cup last season claiming we got less than 26,000 that day which was quickly passed off as fact and used as a stick to beat us with.

Attendance that day...37,900. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46706907

Even when the try to have a pop at us the clueless c u next Tuesdays can't even get that right. Shower of cranks.

Made me laugh, loads of reds on the Shrewsbury official twitter, giving them loads. They've just beaten a league one team and there straight online giving them abuse
Classy
They are an absolute joke of a fan base most of them, they take the p**s out of Chelsea fans being glory hunters and waving stupid flags, they never explain why they're any different. Honestly they used to make me angry, now I just laugh at the beauts. To be fair even United fans can take the mick of of themselves and they supported their team when they were crap in the 1970's and 1980's. The amount of divvies I come across who never had an interest in football, who are all of a sudden massive reds disgusts me. I don't mind it with a lot of women who just say they support the RS because their dad or fella supports Liverpool or just to wind you up, but they don't claim to be die hard reds or experts on football.

But the divvies in the pub who call the players be their first name and are somehow experts on Klopp's management and which players get along in the dressing room make me sick. I can't think of a faker set of supporters than the RS, yes you have glory hunters at Chelsea, United, Arsenal and City but they're not claiming to be Ultras. But the most ridiculous thing about them is the whole talking about how Scouse they are with their stupid banners, when most of their ground is full of tourists. I know a few proper Liverpool fans and while they are happy at how well they're doing they don't like the fact that their ground is full of tourists. The whole bringing legal action against an amateur club and trying to trademark a chant that Napoli invented, just sums the RS up. Also it's well known that Liverpool treated both Paisley and Shankly appallingly, despite all the nonsense about looking after their greats.

You'd hope that Liverpool gave Shrewsbury the full gate money from yesterday's fixture, but I doubt they'd do that. Nothing or no-one else matters to them, at all.

One day, it will all come back to bite them and the memories of all those they've upset won't have been forgotten.
One day. Ooooonnne day.

50 years or so later...

There was some utter mutant on TalkSpunge the other week after the United v City league cup semi, claiming to be a 'massive Liverpool fan' but wanting United to beat City. He was saying he admitted cheering when United scored. They ripped into him of course, and asked him if there were any other 'massive' reds with him cheering United, and he said 'No, just me and the dog. Shankly the bulldog'. He'd clearly just invented the name for effect, but the presenters let themselves down there and elected to clap like seals, saying 'I bet Shankly hated you for that, haha'.

I was sorely tempted to ring in and ask whether he left 'Shankly' shut out in the cold, refusing to let him back in no matter how he whimpered, as there's form for doing that, but I thought better of it.
