ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

My plazzy mate on fb. Going on about how good their kids are and how bright their future is, didn’t like it when I pointed out they are 6th in the prem 2 and just average kids

They were going nuts about Klopp playing the youth in a 4-0 thrashing of Tranmere in pre-season too. I would hope that a Premier League side's 2nd string could give Tranmere a game, to be honest.

Absolutely
However, to them they now have “the best kids in the world”
Madness

In a side note, bbc sport just now ONLY mentioned their game from last night. No mention of any of the other games, most of which were great games!
The bias just grows

They've squeaked past Shrewsbury Town and not looked great in doing it. Are we going to have weekly updates on their age group team's progress in the Checkatrade now?

Yes, I noticed that on an earlier bulletin. Ten seconds to describe a five goal thriller deep into extra time , but a single og grabs the headlines and air time.
BBC simply believe that 95% of the sporting public are kopites.

Anybody seen the highlights from last night? I can't see any offside in the disallowed goal. I guess I shouldn't be surprised though.

I've just seen the BT highlights on YT and blowed if I can see an offside in the buildup to it. Definitely not the first ball, and the RB that goes with that attacker is then playing everyone in the centre onside until it goes in.

Notable as well that the VAR replay doesn't do the 'freeze frame' as to where the offside is supposed to be either.

Looking at the fan reaction from Shrewsbury they are giving the manager loads. Disgusted they didn’t turn up at Anfield against kids.

I think chelsea did it for united and the other way round. Barcelona did it for real Madrid aswell.

Yes, occassionaly rivals will be the ones "required" to do the guard of honour. If the boot was on the other foot and we won the league just before we play the sh1te at anfield, we would expect them to respect tradition and give us a guard of honour. And we would absolutely love it.
I would hate to see it, but I have absolutely no issues with us giving the rs one if it is due.
