ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

If they win one more game they'll break the record for best start of the season in any league.

High intensity pressing and running for 90 minutes with barely any changes to the lineup. No major injuries. Going to Qatar and back didn't effect them.

It's absurd.

I'm sure it's just as simple as that they've got the best fitness team of any team in the history of sport. *looks directly at the camera

More injuries than pretty much anyone else currently, to be fair. Will be an absolutely dreadful team out Sunday I reckon.

I feel for the reptilian hordes who follow the RS.
Them and the inevitable PL title which will probably be mathematically confirmed in March sometime.
I liken it to the youngster who has asked for a pressie off his mam and dad and have wrapped it and left it in full view under the Christmas tree. The lid knows it's there and by the time he gets to open it, it'll be a bit of an anti climax.

Won the league on drugs, went off the boil after it.

Correlation mi frandle?

nothing to do with losing their best player and the other one cry arsing because he didn’t get his move.

just not buying it, the same way I don’t buy this RS one. People like Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez and many others have played 50-60 games regularly for the best part of 10 years.

I don’t really get the drugs stuff. Seems like something made up to soften the blow of Liverpool winning stuff again. They don’t even seem to play the same break neck stuff they used to. They just passed Sheffield United off the pitch last night. I think the commentator said they broke the record for passes in a game. That’s nothing to do with PEDs, is it. It was dull domination not heavy metal football.

the allegations surrounding messi and ronaldo and their teams are massive

They've grabbed the chance which has opened up to them, Chelsea/United/Arsenal and now Spurs former powerhouses of the league all look a shadow of themselves and now Man City has fallen off a cliff in what is easily the weakest the Premiership has been for a good while, Can't really argue if they win it when they go 19-1 by January.

not even a hint of rotation over the xmas period, seriously odd
Not odd at all.

1 team flew halfway across the world and hasnt rotated their squad in any shape or form.

The other 19 clubs in the league didnt fly halfway across the world and have rotated their squads in every game they have played.

Nothing at all to see here.

The media did them a favour too though by ensuring the had an extra day's rest over the teams they played this xmas/new years...City (and everyone else bar Sheff Utd) played their 3 games over 6 days, Liverpool played 3 games over 8 days..

But even with that it's amazing that with such a lead they haven't rested players.. Interesting to see their team selection against us in the cup...

Being fit doesn’t mean you’re on drugs ffs. Like I get people don’t want them to win the league and want to take away from it but this is a little embarrassing.

Also they’re second in the injury table so clearly they are having to rotate and injuries are taking their toll.

Lets all fac reality, they are the best in the world and their mentality has alot to do with it. Never say die attitude and showing signs of Fergies United, they win ugly but the table shows them as runaway leaders. Points matter, style doesn't.

I would love nothing more than to see them implode and lose the title on the final day lol

the stats don't back that up

Yes, they do.

Liverpool have played 30 games this season in all competitions (excluding the League Cup one with the kids).

Only 2 players have appeared in all of them. Robertson (28 starts, 2 sub apps) and Firmino (25 starts, 5 sub apps).

Van Dijk has played in 29 (29 starts, 0 sub apps) Alexander-Arnold has played in 29 (25 starts, 4 sub apps).

Mane has played in 28 (25 starts, 3 sub apps). Salah has played in 27 (27 starts, 0 sub apps). Henderson has played in 27 (24 starts, 3 sub apps)

Outside of Robertson, Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk, who appear to be at peak physical fitness, the rest of their squad have all had, at the very least, 3 or 4 games off.
