ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Yep evens of for those 2, screw us. Whole league is fixed. They need the top 2 to have a race as its better for the 'brand'. RS lose there and the race is pretty much over.
Exactly mate, that's how irrelevant we are to the Premier League / Sky. It's not about treating everyone equally, it's about equality among those that count. City and the RS are their current bitches as ManU / Chelsea were for a while and ManU / Arsenal before that, if teams like us take a couple of bullets in the crossfire no-one cares. If we do go down it'll be interesting when watching it more regularly to see if the Championship is in any way biased in a similar way, I suppose not, as the more successful teams succeed and move up so there's no need for the authorities to pander to them like they do in the Prem.

Bits on the echo video of a bit of trouble.
I wasn't an angel by any means when I was younger ,
but didn't get fighting between the two clubs there were mates and family on both side and in my time they knew each other, had the odd bit of bother ,stuff that just happened but nothing organised.
Shame the way it going, daft as well with everyone taking picture and ctv everywhere. .
That was the very end of a running battle between a pub and the hotels on anfield rd. The ‘friendly‘ derby has long gone . And even in the 80’s and 90’s there was trouble with both mobs mostly in town in the night . Other teams used to mock our derby for the friendly tag but I honestly think nowadays it’s the one derby that is regularly played every season ( until now) that has some bad kick offs every game. With the anfield one usually being worse . Most of the heavy stuff usually happens a few hours after the game. If the team was as consistent as evertons mob we’d be in the champions league places not the relegation zone lol

the hatred is on another level these days

Yes I know its gone bad ,
I was talking to a few of the there lads , lot younger than me a few years a go , on Walton rd, mates of a mate type of thing and they .made it plain they didn't like are lot at all.
Loads of respect for your older lads but none for the younger crowd , they said , I said it was daft .
I only went inside the door and it kicked off.

Someone is going to die at one of these games one day. From the 2 sets of fans who have shouted and screamed for 33 years that no one should go to a game and not come home.

Makes a mockery of the solidarity we’ve both shown. I can only put it down to a younger fanbase who didn’t understand the impact of that day on the city.

I just don’t get blue and RS throwing bricks, glass bottles and slashing each other. So fkin sad.

It is different now though mate. There are only 6000 scouse season ticket holders at the pit so the old mates at the friendly derby have long gone from there. They are a tourist team and it is only going to get worse as the owners view the few remaining 'legacy fans' as expendable.
