I’ll be amazed if they go out to Madrid. They just don’t have a bad season. No matter how rubbish they are, they always come up smelling of roses. Disappointment for that lot is not winning finals or getting edged out of a title race, it doesn’t get much worse than that for them ever. I’d still put a lot of money on them finishing 4th and making the final. The type of week everyone else has where a whole season unravels just doesn’t happen to them ever.

They won't win the CL. No chance. Not with those two CB's.
Even if they fluke it next week (which they won't) City / Bayern / PSG or even Chelsea will beat them.
They could just manage fourth spot if a couple of the teams around them collapse. But CL? No chance.

Even this season they’ve already lost to Atalanta and now Real Madrid.

No other cup competition let’s you not only lose a load of games in it, but technically progress and win the final without ever actually having to win a knockout match thanks to away goal rule and penalties.

The away goal in particular is ridiculous, completely alters the balance of games where a team that’s on top can’t go for more goals as they know an away goal could puncture them so end up sitting back and getting done in the last minute. So many second legs occurring where a team has lost 3-1 or 3-2 in the game and have been totally dominated but are celebrating.

The format at the end of last season was way better, one off game, neutral venues, instant knockout, just whoever is better at football over 90 minutes. Far better.

Assuming its an emoji of a monkey, Gorilla etc or a bannana. They are obviously harmless in themselves but the use of them here is racism. There has to be some action taken against people who do that.

Just remove the relevent emojis.
Then at least they have to manage to string a sentence together rather than just being passively racist. No defence of misinterpretation then

Seriously they got the abuse BEFORE the game? I mean it's terrible full stop but the mindless oiks who do this usually hide behind the justification of players having a bad game. To do it before the kick-off just shows up their pure unadulterated racism and hatred.

Feel bad for them, especially when you consider they club they play for is responsible for advocating racist behaviour from players and fans.

All football clubs need to put ethics before profits. Every team - Everton included - should've binned off social media years ago. It is a toxic place where clubs are happy to use it for free advertising and whoring their brands, but cry about how the sites should do more to protect their players. If the companies all stopped posting, the social media companies would be on the bones of their arse overnight.
