I've never understood their whole Scouse identity, I can understand clubs like Newcastle, West Ham, Birmingham City, Leeds, Rangers and Celtic having a strong group identity that unites them, same with clubs like Sunderland, Palace, Millwall and Boro. However this whole we're Scouse and we hate Mancs mentality may have been slightly authentic when most match going RS were Scouse.

However as you say with so many of their fans coming from outside Liverpool it's just ridiculous. More of our match going supporters are Scouse than their fans, however you don't generally hear people talking nonsense about non Scouse Blues. Also it's a completely fake and moronic Scouse identity, just like the Echo's nonsense about, Scouse nans sayings and their important journalism that involves going to a chippy on Stanley Road to talk about why salt and pepper dishes are so popular.

Also I'm not really in to politics, I hate the Labour Party and the Tories with a passion, I don't like this idea that all Scousers must be one thing or another, just like with any other group there's differences. There's the old saying a lion doesn't have to tell you it's a lion, the RS constantly have to brag about how Scouse they are and how they're the best supporters in the world.

Awful lazy article, going on about it's a mixing pot , but fails like most kopites do, to mention the hugh infux of Welsh people into liverpool , must be because we have a large following there and it's not trendy to be a taff.
Despite the fact half the terrace streets around the ground were made by welshmen.

This just confirms what I knew and suspected about Spitty's character all along.
He's not genuine, and his motives are pretty transparent. He'll flip-flop on his views/opinions/principals to which ever way would best suit his own personal agenda.

In short: No strength in character and a textbook hypocrite. Those are classic kopite traits, not Evertonian ones. Which is why he never was, nor will ever be a blue.

The mask slips for all of them as soon as there’s any danger of their dominance being threatened. We’ve taken 30 years of them being ahead of us yet the second we look like we might be putting a decent outfit together the bitterness from that lot is unbelievable. The few times we’ve finished ahead of them in that period their reaction wasn’t pretty until they won something to put them back to gloating at us 24/7 again.

If Moshiri gets it right with Carlo and there comes a time when the pendulum swings back to us, there’ll be civil unrest from that lot. Too many of them are like Carragher, will pat you on the head when it suits them but secretly they’re never far from the red mist descending and the toys being thrown out the pram the second it doesn’t go their way. They are the school yard bully and the bar room drunk rolled into one.

I’m personally baffled by the fact that him spitting in a child’s face has just been completely forgotten about across the board. People have been completely banished from the public eye for less. Can’t believe people, much less Everton fan channels, are stooping to the lowly depths of kissing that toad’s arse for an interview.

because he thinks it broadens his appeal to broadcasters if he is 'acceptable' to red and blue. Cant stand him.

Fair enough on the can’t stand him bit but I find it hard to believe any broadcasters are going to suddenly be more attracted to hiring him because he did an interview on a small YouTube channel thats not had many views. I think he genuinely still has some feeling for the club, I remember he attended a couple of matches a while back when he wasn’t working for a broadcaster.

The fact he's now done a couple of interviews with Everton fan sites suggests to me that deep down he's still got a bit of Everton in him, why else would he bother doing these interviews ?
