That Guardian article is unreal! 'All too plainly their common dislike of Manchester United is greater than any rancorous mistrust of each other.' - so, that will be why the rats are COMPLETELY obsessed with their 'spending' and 'cheating' (both apparently mean the same thing now, when it's not them), and from frequenting the Blue Moon boards I can quite categorically state that any City fan wanting them to win the league rather than United is in a definite minority now.
Of course, that's not just City, since fans of every other club in the league wanted that shower to blow the league last year. But still publications like this keep peddling the old 'Anyone But United' line as if it's still true. We're in an Orwell dystopian future now, Newspeak has become a reality...
Thankfully enough free-thinking minds still exist to realise that they are a vile, detestable club bursting at the seams with racists, murderers, apologists and general thugs. And always will be. If they do ever win that title, the media clamour will ring hollow as it is deadened by the vacuum of supporter apathy around the country. They will NEVER be the 'people's champions', a title which ironically they crave more than any other.
