They did. It's natural though as you can see on this thread and on Twitter etc. Nobody wants to see their rivals do well.
However, some Blues have become so focused on the RS failing that they've forgotten how to support their own team. It's not a great mentality to have.

Really starting to believe that will be the game that decides the title. If they win it will probably give them the lift to go on another great run which would see them over the line. If we can take points or even actually beat them it could be the knock out blow if City also win that weekend.

United will go for them with everything they've got at a bouncing Old Trafford.

We're actually very competitive at Goodison against them too, despite the lack of wins. Should have won last season, even under Allardyce. We'll win one at Goodison against them sooner rather than later and this season would be about as good a time imaginable.

They're two rather unpleasant fixtures for them in the near future.

They fail to beat Bournemouth without injuries though and they're in complete disarray, going into a two-legged CL tie with Bayern. There's so much potential for an extremely damaging month or so for them.

Coming off the Newcastle game no one would have said that with Liverpool having Leicester and West Ham and City having Arsenal and Everton that City would make up 4 points on them. It’s been a bad fortnight for them but if us, United, Spurs and Chelsea can make life difficult for them (and roll over to City as we have done) then this nightmare may just be avoided. City are still just one slip away from liverpool getting back into cocky mode through. They need to stay perfect and looking at how they made Tom Davies look like the Tom Davies of 2 years ago that doesn’t seem likely.
