Against rochdale they rested Silva D, Silva B, Aguero, Fernandino, Aguero, Laporte, Danillo, Kompany and Sane. That's 90% of their outfield 1st team.

There'll be a similar team for both games against Burton. Liverpool fans are deluding themselves if they're relying on fatigue from City to bail them out.

Klopps team still cost about 200m. They didn't set out to lose, it's just that apart from 3 players Liverpool just aren't a good team.

No wonder the CEO tonight was optimistic about winning the title in the new stadium, Moshiri only needs to buy 3 top draw players with a supporting cast of below average nothing players.

Makes me optimistic about funding for the stadium now as it won't cost much to be title contenders.

The results are in. Take those players out and they've rarely won a game in the last 3 seasons. Allison has made a few good saves but made a few mistakes and being so far away from both city goals has got to be concerning.

Lovrens got the death threats but he was in VVDs man and it was Allison who left the yawning gap at his near post. Worrying.

It's a shame really.
