It’s hurting, obvs don’t want them them to win. But you know what? If they do, I’ll walk in the arkles with my Everton top on and take it on the chin. At the end of the day it’s a sport, a game, not the be all and end all. We’ll all have a bit of banter , and get on with life. Far too many take far too serious on here. Dont get me wrong, it’s gonna be hell but the best way to deal with it is with class and dignity. Just like our Club.

It's not about being happy, it's about being realistic. We are just not very good and there is very little fans can do about that. I honestly don't see how protesting is going to make us better than Liverpool. Because that's what all this incessant whining is about. It's not about Everton. It's about them. None of you will ever be happy as long as Liverpool are better than us. No matter how well we do, no matter how passionate our players are (and Pickford is passionate, the guy's always screaming at his defence), even if we end up in Europe. It's all about Liverpool and what they do.

I personally dont care what they do.

Im fuming more that Silva was deemed good enough for EFC rather than them winning the league.

They deserve it fair play to them, went out and appointed a top manager and they are being rewarded for it.

OK, realistically, who would come to us? You think we can just magically attract a top manager by throwing money? We do not have the clout Liverpool do on the global stage.

When Liverpool went out for Klopp they were around 8th in the table and had players like Borini, Ricky Lambert and Alberto up top for them.

Klopp was being woo'ed by both Bayern and Real Madrid and Liverpool had no right getting him ahead of those two.

Same way Newcastle had no right attracting Rafael Benitez when he could get better offers than a penniless side in the bottom half that was relegated to the championship.

Leeds had no right attracting Biesla to the championship as he would have better offers.

My point?

Stop assuming EFC can never attract a good manager just because they haven't CL football on offer.

We pay high wages (Koeman on more than Emery and Zidane were being paid at PSG and Real Madrid) and give our manger money to spend (Jose saying we have phenomenal investment).

Im not saying we could get Ancelotti or Simeone but I am saying we could do alot bloody better than a bloke sacked by Watford and relegated with Hull!
 
They're Liverpool. Even when they were 8th, they still had the pulling power and global reach that we don't. They are internationally a lot more well known than we are, have a better record in Europe, have more fans internationally, etc. They are much bigger than us in terms of branding.

I'm just trying to be realistic. Why is that bad? Am I supposed to just act like we're Barcelona or something?

Not at all mate, maybe we could appoint them but maybe not if elite clubs are also in the running.

some think that there's either the cream of the crop (Jose, Pep, Ancelotti) etc. and then everyone else.

But there are plenty of managers below those elite candidates that would be more attainable and actually do a stellar job

Emery, Mancini, Conte, Tuchel, Nagellmann, Blanc, Pellegrini, AVB just to name a short but well known list.

All better than the current and previous clowns.

No but like many fans you beleive EFC can not appoint someone typically seen above them whereas I listed some examples in England currently of clubs with managers who could be at bigger clubs.

Even Southampton did well attracting Hassenhuttl who took Leipzig to 2nd in the Bundesliga and built a good young side there considering they are gash and in a relegation scrap.
