ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Said it before and I'll say it again. They will win NOTHING with calamitous Klipperty Klopp in charge.
Ran it close in the league and got to the ridiculously named 'Champions' league final ? They did that last year too.
They are not progressing, they are stagnating.
I'm calling it early - they will finish outside the top 4 next season. Klopp may well be out of there before the season ends.

This is a delusional post I’m afraid.

Yep. As long as Klopp is there and they keep investing then they will be a good outfit. Perhaps not good enough for the league if Guardiola stays around but a threat for the CL every season and of Klopp eve took the domestic trophies seriously they’ll threaten them too. To suggest otherwise is ridiculous. They could easily go out and spend another two world record fees on players this summer.

History is littered with teams scoring shedloads of points and then being moderade the next year. In 2014/15 Chelsea got 87pts. The next year they got 50! Then in 2016/17 they got 93 points, the next season they got 70. Unless you're a dominant team, like Man Utd were for a long time, and Arsenal were for a few years, or the rs back in the day, fluctuations can be massive. Bear in mind they scored 13 points more than their "expected points". If next year, they hit the post a few times and then their keeper makes a few mistakes, and they end up scoring 13 points fewer than their expected points that would take them to 71 points, and that would be if they played as well as this season.

Here's a flavour of what Irish toffees have to contend with. It's a promo from the sports section of the national broadcaster promoting local/national sports with the tag line "your town, your team, your tribe". There is no mention of any league of Ireland club but can you guess which cult, I mean club, gets a mention?

If there is one thing makes me ashamed my Irish roots is is the affiliation many in the Emerald Isle have to this abomination of a football club.

A club with its roots in anti Irish sentiment and which for most of its existence wouldn’t tolerate an Irish Catholic in its ranks.

A point I am never slow to make when in Donegal, Belfast or Wexford :)

I've read Bluemoon this morning, happiness abounds for obvious reasons. Been on Redcafe, it's mostly about sack or keep Ole. Been on RAWK. There's more salt n' vinegar for their qiant shoulder chips than my local chippy, talk about acidic lol. And then GOT. My favourite non Man City forum, for good reason. Keep on winding your RS neighbours up lads;)

I don't think it is. The current team is running on vapours at the moment. A few are getting to the age when they need to seriously think about a move if they don't believe they can win or make the same money as they can elsewhere. It will only take one of Mane, Salah or Firminho to go and they'll flounder and the others might get itchy feet if one goes.

Of course they won't crash into oblivion, but there's not enough substance beyond the first 11 to keep them from imploding if they wobble for a couple of games. I suspect that if they don't win the CL, then Klopp might be out the door sooner than later.

C'mon Spurs. Finish them.

People can diminish the achievement all they like but when we win it I will party like it's 1999 (+20) and rub the Gooners and RS' noses in it til they beg for mercy.

Then I will rub it some more.

It won't be meaningless if we ever win it like!

It's a given you have to give it to the Gooners until they're in tears pleading for mercy.

I think a good move with the Champions league would be for the 'Champions' bit to be removed.

Mate, they are improving every year he’s there. We need him gone, they are NOT going to sack him. We need another club to come in and take him because we will not survive his reign without them winning one of the top prizes in the next few years. Their fans would riot if they sacked him, he plays to them absolutely perfectly and they love it.

I actually suspect his MO of just walking might come into play. His head goes and he walks. Or a cheeky inquiry from a Bayern might be enough. He still hasn't had the treatment from the British press - I think he is long overdue that.

I do concede that they are improving every year, but how will they do that next year. I think this is their peak under this peiod with Klopp.

Anyone heard from Emilia Bona tonight??

If she was crying on the metro after Barcelona god knows what she’ll be doing tonight

See if she's hopeful after Harry Kane has crushed them in Madrid.

Not a surprise there they go again with the 'we are better than everyone else' line. No wonder they are universally hated.
