as both Spurs and City came through harder challenges.
I don't think it will make much difference as City have shown they're capable of getting beat home or away by teams in the bottom half. They generally step up in the big games. The banana skins for City this season have been the ones where they're expected to turn up and win. Newcastle, Wolves, Palace, Leicester. In that respect, would it really surprise anyone if City lost at home to West Ham or away to Bournemouth in their next fixtures?
For Liverpool, it's generally been the reverse. They are beating the teams you'd expect them to and have dropped points in the games you might "expect" them to have trouble in. City, Chelsea and Arsenal, draws or defeats surprise nobody. Even Leicester and West Ham are no mean feats these days. It will be interesting to see how they fare against United, Chelsea, us and Spurs, bearing all that in mind, and see if they can keep up their good run against teams in the bottom half.
