Everton manager Ronald Koeman, speaking to BBC Sport:

"The first 20 minutes, that was really poor. We were very nervous and unsure. Every ball back. Mistakes and no aggression. After that we played face to face and showed unbelievable spirit to come back and we deserved the win. We were lucky in the last situation but we played great football and the support of the fans, it makes Goodison Park really difficult to beat us here.

"Sometimes it is difficult to understand why we start so poorly at the beginning. Of course there is some lack of confidence but show your personality. We showed big personality."

Pretty much summed it up.
I do admire his honesty. Even when we're gash he says it as it is.

Non-biased match ratings:

Stekelenburg - 7 - Couldn't do anything about their goal but solid apart from that.
Coleman - 9 - Get in, where've you been lad? Brilliant header, solid defending, excellent passion. Keep it up!
Williams - 9 - An even better header, tight at the back and wild celebrations after his winner.
Jagielka - 6 - An OK performance, but a silly red card and I don't think he'll be missed on Monday.
Baines - 8 - Ahh, glimpses of the old Leighton making a comeback? Great cross on his right for Seamus and a good all-round performance.
Gueye - 9 - Exceptional performance, have run out of superlatives to describe him. He is unreal.
McCarthy - 9 - Dunno wtf happened but he was terrific from first until last. Boundless energy, plenty of aggression, good passing, great James!
Barkley - 8 - Much, much, much, MUCH better by Ross. He should have done so much better at the end when through on goal but a v good game.
Valencia - 8 - Very impressive and I think he deserves to start against the RS. Great in the air, plenty of running, never gave up, excellent.
Lennon - 6 - Did ok, but nothing too good or bad either way. I would start Mirallas against the RS instead of him.
Lukaku - 8 - Brilliant performance by the lone striker, he's (hopefully) coming back into some form just in time ...

...I thought Lukaku actually won lots of those out balls tonight. I wouldn't criticise anybody involved in that display.
I agree. Aside from some poor hold up play, he did have moments of good hold up play and it was him in the first half that started running around like a madman on the press that turned the half around. I thought Big Rom was every part of our win tonight as anyone else
