Beats men for fun, no end product, terrible goals to game ratio everywhere he has played. Probably the most frustrating player ive ever seen wear an Irish jersey and believe me that takes some doing. Hope he proves me wrong but to me he is a squad player at best.

Not going to ever be good enough to be the first person picked on the team sheet, but I absolutely think he is good enough for EPL and Everton and that he will continue to improve and his end product will improve. Hopefully the need for him to always beat his man down the wing and whip in a perfect cross diminishes in favor of unified team play where he is making a run beyond the defense and barkley picks out the pass. Our game isn't and shouldn't be classic england football where the winger pushes the ball toward the corner flag and pushes in a cross. Especially under martinez I'd expect us to be quite different actually, far more intelligent, and FAR more active.

We are building a fantastic counter attacking team. Solid mature team defense with a potential target/hold man up top like Lukaku who can play back to players like Barkley, pienaar, mirallis, and mcgeady who are all eager to make runs and have that knack of getting beyond their man - with or without the ball. Tack onto that other players like Osman and Naismith that manage to find space and just make plays, and the best 2 offensive backs in the game with Baines and Coleman and there isn't a defense that wants to deal with that running full speed at them.

Where we are lacking is when their defense is set and we need to break them down in the final third. While I still think we will struggle, having a player like mcGeady who can beat his man or sees the space to run into can be invaluable.

and yes, i know that would be too many players on the field. i wasn't speaking at one time, just lumping in some players of similar styles and how those styles can work together. I hope that McGeady accepts the challenge to match Mirallis or unseat pienaar. love the competition.

Good against gash, gash against good.

Lionel Messi [Barcelona] yesterday paid his own accolade, saying: "I really like the way McGeady plays football. He is a natural talent who can create a brilliant piece of play in the blink of an eye." This came in the wake of Catalan sportspaper El Mundo Deportivo publishing a glowing tribute, which lauded the Republic of Ireland international as "a blond version of Messi and Diego Maradona", adding that a lack of media exposure is all that currently prevents him from achieving the same fame and renown enjoyed by Messi and his Argentinian predecessor.

Was bit hit and miss last season I think he a good option to have off
The bench not to sure bout him starting every week

I find him lazy IMO
He as 5 mins destroying people then goes missing for 20 mins...
I just feel he should demand the ball more just like mirallas does

Him being frustrating would be an improvement at this point. Doesnt look like he has any awareness of ANY teammates around him. At least when Kev has his blinders on you think either he could pull out something special or at the VERY least he would track back to get the ball back to try again.
