It's down to the team ratings. If our players were as high as we think, the team rating would be enough to put us top 4, but its unrealistic for that to be the case. Liverpool are rated better partly to appease casuals, and partly because those 2 points that put us above them are not indicative of us actually being better than them...especially after the transfers.

Newcastle too. They finished around 16th and their players are still rated highly by those EA idiots.

Anyway, who cares about the bloody ratings? If we had 4.5 stars we would be up against tougher teams, but with 4 stars you mainly play against the ****s who always pick either Newcastle, QPR or OL, and its piss easy to beat those teams with the right tactics regardless of your own team.

Fans who pick their football team because they are "ace" in a computer game is such a sad state of affairs.

Whoever said in this topic that young Americans are using FIFA to decide on who they will pick is clearly making that up or at very least exaggerating it. Most young lads who i have spoken to here in the US since i moved here when football comes up always tell me the team they picked was because of an american influence or the fact that the team are really good. I mean give these guys some credit i doubt they all rush out buy fifa and then say oh west ham are quite good in thios left me choose them.

Those who continue to reference ratings in fifa or any other sports game is kinda of sad also.

Here's a thought watch the games, read the sports news look at their history and learn the old fashioned way like the rest of us in the real world.

Who cares what FIFA, Pro Evo and FM think? Sure the research done on those games was done by nerdy underpaid employees who think they are budding scouts or managers, so its their opinion when it comes to most players.

Sadly a good FIFA player needs pace, strength and to be tall. Barry masters none of that, which is sad. Such a quality player in real life.
