2025/26 Dwight McNeil

John Percy reported for The Telegraph’s print edition on Monday that Moyes will sanction a deal for the winger to join Forest, although this will be delayed with Ndiaye playing for Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Current Forest and former Everton boss Dyche has managed McNeil in L4 and at Burnley, and wants to offer the former England Under-21 international a fresh start at the City Ground
Great if that happens but he is only going to be on the bench like here, don't see him starting at forest tbh.

….difficult to see McNeil going anywhere whilst Ndiaye is away, especially if he’s ahead of Dibling and even Alcaraz in the pecking order. Maybe the end of the window.

If it is a Championship club, you just wonder if Moyes would be tempted to loan Dibling. Downside is he might struggle for games, even at that level if he’s struggling to settle.
Loan out Dibling and keep McNeil?!

Christ.

Best news of December so far. Could we somehow get around £10 million for him? Would be fantastic, for us.

….i know he’s only got 18 months on his current deal but I’d be hoping for at least £15m. There is always the possibility he’d prefer to run his contract down but I’d imagine that’s unlikely as he’ll struggle for games once Ndiaye returns.

I genuinely think more. He's a good age and a solid lower-midtable prem player, those go for more than 10m.

He's looked crap for us this season which honestly isnt too surprising, and struggled a bit in a bad fit (for him as a player) role last, but at his core he's a player who works hard and is genuinely good at creating chances in both open play and set pieces

Is it April the 1st?

Sums Dyche right up if he’s even considering this, pray it’s true though, what a Christmas pressy it would be.

£15 million and it'll be up there with us getting £25 million for Iwobi.

Come on Sean, remember the club that paid you five-odd million after you admitted to weren't up to the job.

Seems like lazy journalism this to me. Forest have better players than him sat on their bench. Dyche has never signed him btw.

Also we would need a replacement lined up, which seems very un-Everton.
