2024/25 Dwight McNeil

Must be annoying to be his fullback

You pass it to him looking to overlap and it goes straight back to you, or watch him try to turn his man at 5 km/h before he again passes it back to you.

Needed to be in the centre today, or on the left. Ndiaye - McNeil - Alcaraz this team should pick itself but we never do things the easy way.

Just don’t think Moyes believes that is solid enough

I feel our flair players have proven multiple times this season they can graft and stay compact when needed, Ndiaye and McNeil are both very solid defensively.
Think this is why he persists with The Duke though. He is a safety first manager. I am ok with that so long as you are creating and scoring goals. If we win 1-0 all good by me.

Playing both Ndiaye and Alcaraz together doesn’t seem to have his confidence yet. Maybe it will come

alcaraz ndiaye and mcneil are all pretty robust and hard working

likes of harrison and doucoure are the powder puff players

doucoure is phenomenally weak in duels considering his size

Ndiaye has scored less league goal per minute from open play than McNeil this season; McNeil has created 9 big chances for others, Ndiaye just 2.
Different players, Mcneil is a decent player mate, has been pretty good for us he has a good delivery and shot, but if we want to move on we need better in my view we also need raw pace on the right abd I think if Ndiaye did move into the split striker role we would want a different profile on the left just my view

Oh I deffo agree on the right - I hate McNeil out there. I think there’s a case for him to start on the left tho.

He hasn't really got the pace to play out wide properly though. He is a strange player, he has something about him but he is very one footed and not the quickest and seems better shooting from further out, I'm not sure he is a wide player or a no.10 tbh his skillset is an unusual one.
