I'm glad corbyn had a very different attitude to yourself, and feel genuinely inspired by how our younger generation have taken to politics, once engaged by someone for the first time in my own lifetime, I find your attitude quite sad in all honesty

I seem to have become some sort of bogeyman for pointing out that the educational standards of some of the children are not what I hoped they would be in 2017.
As knowledge, be it factual or fictional, now comes with the swipe of a finger on a tablet with no filter to distinguish between the two the lines have become blared for many.
A few years ago I was at my son's graduation, he graduated from Queens Belfast, and the scrolls were handed out by Senator George Mitchell, and as is normal at these events the Senator had a word with each of the graduates.
After the ceremony I asked my son and his two friends what the Senator had said to them and the answer was "who". None of them knew who George Mitchell was or his importance. When I explained their answer was that they had no interest in politics.
My posts on this matter was not to gloat on what I see as the increasingly drumming down of society but merely pointing it out.
I am a great believer in education, it does concern me that it is starting to become less educational and more training for a role in life. In my day, albeit a while ago, education was about producing well rounded people and about teaching you how to learn.
So you can continue lambasting me for my ham fisted comment but I do believe that for a section of society when a historic event is used for entertainment then it may become more associated with entertainment.

Worth remembering that it's a movie. Not a documentary.

It's sole purpose is to entertain. Not educate.

Although it's not 100% factually accurate I believe that it both entertains and educates.

Well that was a rip snorter.

Expect nothing less from Nolan. It was a good move to break up the story Tarantino style. The stand out for me was the production design, the costuming, and Mark Rylance was also superb.

I have no doubt it will. I have not seen it yet but I was listening to a discussion on it, they were talking about the role of the RAF in evacuation. I had never really thought about their role,it was always about the armada of small ships and how they ferried across channel.
