Duncan Ferguson Moving On

To be fair i was saying it in general but not specifically about Blackburn, but maybe if he had of got a smaller job, such as when Steve Watson went to Chester, he might of been in a better place to get that job

Could have also backfired.

Steve Watson by large, has been a pretty terrible manager, and was sacked from his last two roles.

I think if Ferguson was going to take the leap, he’d have done it by now, I think he’s pretty content being around Everton.

Are you serious he may have been interviewed for the job but Blackburn's choice was to go with an ex player we all know how many times that happens in the lower leagues, I'm not saying that I don't think he should not leave but lets not just criticize the lad without facts
Speaking of facts, do we even know for sure he was interviewed by Blackburn?

I'd be surprised if he's on any shortlist above L1 level to be honest.

I hope he does leave and proves some wrong when the right club comes along but i very much doubt many on here would just walk away from a pay slip because of pride until they were fixed up with something else, he may have been pushed out more by FL we just have no idea
No not a lot of people would walk away from a pay slip but they would know if they were wanted or not and Jonjoe Kenny has just done that by refusing whatever he was offered, hopefully Jonjoe will get better offers elsewhere, but he gets a big pat on the back from me for walking away from a three year contract.

Again we have no idea about anything club related someone puts something out on social media and we mostly take it as gospel, as you say he may never have been interested at Blackburn or even interested

Kenny it looks like already had a club lined up i doubt he just decided to walk away without something in the pipe line and good luck to the lad hope its turns out ok for him

I think every player in the last 6 months has options simmering away.

If they don't, they need a new agent.
Well some have options, looks like Jonjoe’s option at Hertha Berlin was better than the one offered by Everton because Jonjoe Kenny loved being an Everton player as well as being a fan all his life.

Meanwhile, a clearly unimpressed Duncan Ferguson arrives at Finch Farm....

Jonjoe Kenny “walked away” for a massive signing on fee and probably double the £15k pw we were offering him. Absolutely the right decision by the lad but I’m not sure why people are painting him as some footballing martyr for leaving Everton

I hope that is true about the massive signing on fee and double the wages he was on. He might have been on £15,000 a week for the last two or three years but was on much less than that before when the likes of Martina came on a signing on fee and £30,000 a week, No Jonjoe wasn’t a martyr but he loved the club, was a genuine Evertonian and would have been sad to leave the club who he supported all his life. I hope he succeeds in Germany and has a good career ahead of him in the future.
