Such a natural gift, one of those people that if you saw in the street there's no way you think he was a professional footballer. Absolutely amazing if you watch him in his prime and then in '95 and see the level he maintained. As soon as this comes out on tape I'll be first in line, [Poor language removed] reading, this is the future.
 

Cannot wait to read this.

I'm not a big one for signings or getting autographs or all of that, but this is one of those books that not only will I buy, if there's a signing by Nev, I'm going to get the book signed.

Total legend, and the good thing is, I doubt he will toe the politically correct line in terms of what to write.

He will write it totally how he saw it and to damn with what anyone else thinks. That always makes for a far superior book.

I heard he got all his medals back after taking her to court.

Funny thing is, I remember Sharp & Ratcliffe saying a couple of years back that they are the only members of the mid-80s team that are still with their original partners from the glory days. The team from that era probably behaved like the 'Chelsea stars' of their day, it just wasn't reported as much at the time.

I'll be very interested to read what he has to say about the team constructed out of the ashes of the great mid-80s team. The players brought in by Harvey especially were slated by some of the old guard like Sharp and Reid. Given that Southall played right through all that period and beyond I wonder if he'll be as critical of that era as those others. I tend to think players like Cottee, Newell, Keown etc were harshly treated and the 80s greats have been very sniffy and cliquey about it all.

To be fair to EBJT, Cashley and the rest there is a world of difference between some French lingerie model and some knock-off living on an estate in a certain North-East Welsh town (allegedly).
 
Back when goalies caught the ball.

One of my proudest (weird) moments was when Neville Southall got man of the match when Wales were smashed 7-1 by the Dutch in the 90's. Classic.

Saw him at "The Match" (TV Show) a few years back and he put on a good show for the crowd like.

I'm pretty sure he came back out very early rather than refusing to go in. Like half-way through the break - we were 3-0 down (& had just missed a penalty) - we lost 3-2.
 
He was a man-mountain in the '95 FA Cup Final, can't remember if he got man of the match or not, but defo should have if he didn't.
