Agents are obsessed with the lifestyle thing.
Players are just commodities to be bought and sold to allow them their lifestyle.
Any player, not just Shane should think very carefully before leaving their workplace if they are happy there, especially if coinage is the main reason for leaving.
Shane looks to have a lot of potential and is improving at a good pace.
A lot of players have made the mistake of leaving a happy place for money, and their careers have gone downhill.
Franny Jeffers springs to mind.
Anyway rant over
fcuk the parasites.

There's a difference between 'going rate' and 'enough' mate.

If I had my way all footy players would be on less than a grand a week.

But the going rate is probably where we are if you take away the sheiks and yanks who are unfortunately playing with a different pack of cards to the majority of football clubs in this country.
Totally agree with your second statement btw

I hope this knob of an agent isn't trying to get Baines to leave as well.

Edit: just read the Baines is staying thread.

Conor you bad grass.

Brian, Thanks for coming on and being straight, I really appreciate that type of thing. I hope Shane & Everton see a bit of sense and he stays where he belongs.

He's too good for that ****ing dump Boro, **** ground, no fans.

aarontheblue,i want him to stay and shane wants to stay, but this agent is saying to shane leave and we will get you more than everton are offering.....bolloxs to that i beleive the money will come no matter were he is and to leave everton would do my head in....f..king agents. nightmare .com

It will, he's young, especially for a defender...there's no need for him to start club hopping at his age. It can be hard, you want to get out on the pitch regardless of everything else but if he takes a step back he'll see he's right where he should be and in a good position to move forward on his career in the long term.
