Drenthe the enigma

Tell us then...

The 'performance' he put in against Arsenal was so bad Moyes wouldn't even speak to him and did his talking in the press about always looking to the referee to rescue him. So he was dropped.

Drenthe hasn't adjusted his play one bit all season, and Moyes is at the end of his tether - so its either shape up or no more game time to play yourself into a move that is less of a step down from Real.

Some players can't be helped.

would not blame drenthe one bit if he stuck 2 fingers up 2 moyes and left after what he said about going down too easily, he got clearly fouled for a pen ffs, moaning about it may force the ref to even things out and give us a dogy pen e.g.
Not that id want us to win that way, but a win's a win.
Lets just hope it was a niggle and he'll back to put us in the semi, almost certain it wouldnt have been for rest, he would have just put him on the bench ala felli and heitinga(hope).

Andy Johnson got walloped for an entire season, picked himself up, dusted himself down and did no crying. No moaning to refs, no less effort on the pitch. Us blues will accept a player trying his best and not quite cutting it - but what we never accept is some fancy dan strutting around pretending to put a shift in then bitching about it when it doesn't go his way.

i would hate to see RR leave us. surely moyles cant fall out with every likely match-winner we get. sort your management style out pep

Wow, you really don't like the guy do you?

Moyes didn't tell the press that aj should just get on with it though when mourinho and wenger attacked him.

You could see Moyes didnt like him from the off. When he scored against Fulham he was keen to point out his flaws than the positives

Prentends to put a shift in?

Who has the most assists for us this season bar donovan?

I concur.

Hang on, he's the most fouled player in the division, referees should be rescuing him more, he gets kicked all over the place.

He has adjusted his play. He still needs to work on it, but there's been improvement. He's been the only player who's looked like doing anything in half our games and he's combined goals and assists are higher than anyone else despite hardly completing 90 mins on any occasion.

He wasn't that gash vs. Arsenal, either, I didn't think. He's had worse games at any rate.

I like Drenthe. He's got great potential and is wonderfully mental but there's no point in pretending he's a manager's dream.

You can't teach an old dog new tricks, unfortunatley for us RR is an old dog who plays the game how he wants. I like him because he something different, he has pace, his direct and doesn't mind shooting, but he has the tendancy to drift out of games, loose his concentration that can cost us points and games and can be a bit of a hot head.

For everything good about Drenthe there is something bad that annoys me, if he goes he goes, i really wouldn't be to bothered, i'd take Pienaar all day
