DRAW FOR THE NEXT ROUND

Can't believe I've seen some people disappointed with this draw. It could have been better and could have been worse but at the end of the day if we can't beat a championship side in the quarter finals of a cup, we don't deserve to win it.

Also, agree that Martinez has to go full strength now, it's a real shot for us. IF we can get past Boro and avoid City in the semi-finals, we could be on for a Wembley and a real shot at this!

Yes, entirely agree. We must make a statement by playing our strongest possible team. In so many ways a good Cup run has a kick on effect. It brings belief to the players, lifts them and creates impetus. We all - or those of us who were around and old enough to understand - remember Oxford away in the same competition iin 1983/84 and how that result galvanised the team and the fans when up to that point it was looking like Howie (RIP) may have been managing his last game for us. And then old Whisky-Nose over at OT - similar situation to our late, great and beloved Manager but United went on to win the self-same League Cup and the rest, as they say, is history. This game v Boro is now our most important game domestically since...oh, alright, the last one...but exponentially the kick backs could, in so many ways, be 'phenomenal'.

So just effing do it, Blues!

really? [Poor language removed] me, what a terrible game to choose.
But it was Klopp's first League Cup game for the mighty RS. In fact, it was Klopp's first domestic cup game for the might RS. In fact, it was Klopp's first home domestic cup tie for the mighty RS. In fact, it was Klopp's first home domestic cup tie where they scored in the first half. That game set so many records it was bound to be televised.

Boro flattered to deceive last season and we're well & truly found out in the Play-off Final. The smoggies at work reckon they're a weaker team this time round. I guess a lot depends on the team Martinez selects on the day ... and if they're up for it.

Great chance. Win this, stuff City in the semi's, lose to Sheff Weds in the final..

Really...Just enjoy the ride. Still in it and a good chance of going through....Now calm down it is weeks away.
