SQL Server, not SQL. You gonna step to me with your MIS chat, you better be prepped.

ess cue ell or Sequel? "(redacted) sequel" is much easier to curse under your breath while typing.

I'm the boss in my company mate but no-one knows what I do either.

I asked around, and most of the answers rhyme with "duck call".

Somethings in the air here....

Tim Howard
Creed
Takeover by Americans
And now this....

Seriously though, it looks like a really good appointment and i doubt the Americans would put someone in such a high position for the olympics unless he was top notch...

Also i dont imagine he would need to know about football more about the fitness side to develop them physically without injuries and leave the coaching to the coaches??!

Fantastic that we can recruit from outside of football. Demonstrates the pull of the Premier League and Everton in particular. Also demonstrates how athletic ability is a key component alongside the technical and tactical aspects of modern football.

Very interesting appointment for the future.

Peter Vint is the High Performance Director for the United States Olympic Committee. His responsibilities include leading and coordinating the efforts of sport science and medical professionals focused on the Olympic sports of swimming, track and field, shooting, equestrian, weightlifting, and golf as well as the Pan Am sports of bowling and water skiing.

His team is responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and implementing successful and sustainable applied sport science programs, with a focus on maximizing athlete development, performance, and longevity.
The second paragraph sounds like Martinez words...

.....I'm ok with this, lots about the physical (and mental) development of youngsters. Leave the footy to the coaches. I wouldn't be surprised if eventually his remit becomes a lot broader (I'm very critical of the medical strategy and role of the Club Doctor at Everton).

Many years ago the Pool recruited a local headmaster called Tom Saunders to oversee the youth set up but he became a major confidant at first team level, the same might eventually happen here.
