I care about the way we play as well.

But i'd care a lot more if we were turning on the glossy stuff in the championship instead of the premierleague.

We are a side in transition again, yes the forward steps we have made have been a lot of fun, but they are tempered with the backwards step of acclimatisation. Moyes is in for another 5 years, lets see if we can make it top ten finishes for three seasons consecutively for the first time in our prem history.

Why would be in the Championship playing decent football? It is possible to play well and win, we did it a few times last season.

We are hardly a team in transition, only Carsley is missing from last years side. It's not like where trying to fit in 5/6 new players. We are trying to fit in one really, possibly two if you count Saha.

Our players are good enough to play good football and win though. It's not like we're west brom trying to stick to our principles despite it obviously not working. The way to beat the [Poor language removed] teams is to match them on effort and outplay them with quality, which we have more of than most of the league. We haven't outplayed anyone yet this season. I do rank pretty much half the league as [Poor language removed] tho, to be fair to be sure to be honest.

Well, hasn't this taken a new direction. lovely.

Remember everton 1 - Arsenal 4 ?

the game Mikel got sent off for absolutely zero? we played some great stuff that game, and we lost.

lets raise the roof, woo woo, lets raise the roof woo woo woo

We tonked sunderland, great, and some uefa cup games were the cats ass (that larissa goal was pure unadulterated pleasure) but sometimes some games and tactics and specifically opponents need addressing in certain ways. (city away a case in point)

Rodwell is being exposed to the tough life here and there. Lescott is half the player he was, and has started bitching about the LB spot. Baines still hasnt had a run in the side, nearly 18 months after signing. Moyes has said Fellaini is more cahill than anyone else, which means really, castillo is the carsley replacement and he still hasnt been fit in and given chance yet. And havnt we seen baxter get on the pitch this season?

17 years old and 16 years old? Not In Transition??? really???

And what is your point by mentioning the Arsenal v Everton game last season, I'm not getting it.

Talk about different tactics for different games all you want but we've played the same way for the majority of the season. We hit it long, we are static, we don't retain possession and we look vulnerable everytime a team comes at us.

Keeping the ball and retaining it is the way forward, percentage football is not. All I'm asking for is the basics like last season, I'm not asking for total football.

As I said we are only missing Carsley from the team that finished 5th last season. We are playing the same systems as last season, 4-5-1 and 4-4-2. Hardly a team in transition.

No one. As 5th is another act of progression.

We've got absolutely no chance of breaking into the top 4, so progression would be getting 5th again.

whoa whoa whoa delilah...

How is retaining our fifth place finish progression? (another top ten finish actually includes position 5, but lets leave that... for now)
