Nice one mate, appreciate it.
Had a great sparring session tonight and did 8 fairly brutal rounds. Took a crunching right hand to the jaw and carried on like the pro I am. Managed to stop him temporarily in the 5th and enjoyed it massively. Roll on fight night.
Have you ever boxed before mate , not sparring but an actual fight ? The difference is just massive when it happens , that first dig that’s the test my guess is you’ll love it . Good you’ve taken a proper shot though and you deffo seem To be putting the work in and for a good cause . Be proud mate .
Never boxed until a couple of months ago mate, now doing the 2 sessions a week that the organisers put on and 1 or 2 private one to one sessions a week. That was my 4th sparring session but the other 3 have mostly been body shots, this time it was full on sparring and I loved it.
I found myself laughing and smiling as shots were flying in and when I landed them, felt amazing and suspect I'll continue with it long after the charity event.
Fantastic mate and I’m made up for you. From You’re attitude my guess is you’ll love it , just don’t over think anything and i’m Sure you’ll really enjoy yourself . Again , genuinely well done .
be sure to twist your wrist as you land punches mate... staying loose sounds easy but you tense up so easily...Yeah the thinking thing is what I've been working on which sounds daft. The fella training me has got me just throwing punches without over thinking what I'm doing and trying to just stay loose and relaxed and you can definitely tell the difference in speed/power when I don't think too much and stay relaxed.
Appreciate the kind words mate, the encouragement helps hugely and thanks all again for the donations.
