Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

Ultimately it boils down to the Civil Rights Act. That moment in time when Democrats said FU to their base and voted for equal rights. We are still struggling with it...as seen in Charlottesville and elsewhere.
Luckily enough Democrats joined the Republicans to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964...a non-partisan act rarely seen these days.

This is so infuriating.

1. This was his first response to the train derailment this morning not too far from where I live...instead of thoughts and prayers he talks about infrastructure.
2. Shame on him for politicizing a tragedy (AGAIN) while folks are fighting for their lives in hospitals.
3. The utter moron of course didn't check his facts. This had nothing to do with crumbling infrastructure. These tracks are brand new...this was the maiden voyage.

The Republican base is the ultra wealthy and rural working class people. It's the weirdest marriage of people. They have duped rural America into thinking that they have their best interests at heart.

Its not all that simple. Sure there are some southern states that do this but the country as a whole isn't really like this. A few huge changes ever since Bill Clinton. One is that the democrats (at least the ones who really have the control of the party) became centrists, and they govern like a 1980s Northeast Republican. Which is to say they are mostly socially liberal but wishy-washy when stuff gets messy (say when police are killing people) but pro-business in general. They cared only about their little bubble in the mostly well off blue states while large portions of the country were suffering as the country's manufacturing base was shrinking. I don't know if Bernie would have won (Virginia might have went trump, and maybe a state like NJ would have too) but they were very receptive to his message.

Now maybe the democrats wanted to help the struggling manufacturing base, but here is the thing with democrats. They are scared to lose anything and I don't mean elections. Say for example Obama wanted a $10 minimum wage and some social programs to help people who were left behind during the recovery but a program like this will cost a bit of money. He pushes hard for this in the media and travels the country selling the idea. Only the republicians being republicians narrowly shoot this idea down in congress and the issue dies. Now a normal rational party would say, yes we lost today, but we are still in your corner and will continue the fight (news flash: people who you want to vote for you notice this!). However the Dems don't do this. They read stupid inane articles with the headlines "OBAMA POLICY FAILURE, IS HIS PRESIDENCY AND AGENDA IN SHAMBLES?!?!" curl up in a fetal position and try to deny that they were for that policy altogether. The dems have even reached the point that any issue that they fear will be lost in congress is just not even worth the fight so why bother?

The Repubs don't do this. When they are in power they don't think about this focus group fantasy of this mythical swing voter who has no idea who he/she will vote for up to election day. They play for keeps. While the Dems were gloating that they saved the ACA and thinking that OH THEY'LL NEVER TRY SOMETHING LIKE THAT AGAIN, OR THE MEDIA MIGHT TELL THEM THEY ARE FAILURES! the republicians were already plotting their next move of how to grab those 2-3 senate votes they need.

Another thing is the rise of Fox News. Obama was a president who's as milk-toast centrist as you can get. A president whose signature policy was dreamed up in a right-wing think tank and given a test run by Mitt Romney, who also was very pro-wall st, suddenly becomes the most liberal president in human history becuase nuance and agreeing with even 1-2 things he does doesn't really get ratings, only incoherent rage does. And convincing the stupids of this is childs-play for them.

Someone needs to assassinate him. And soon.
The far-right would be delighted if that were to happen. They know deep down that Trump is an imbecile but tolerate him because from their point of view he's a means to an end. If sombody were to make an attempt on Trumps life they'd only strengthen the far-right. Trump would basically ensure winning again in 2020 were it unsuccessful or guarantee sombody even worse replacing him if it was successful.

The other thing noticed was the fact the plan cuts funding for the trains.

House GOP couldn't even organise a party in a brewery, or their version of it by passing a massive tax cut for corporations/super rich without hiccups.

WASHINGTON ― After years of false starts and failed promises, House Republicans had another one Tuesday ― they passed a tax bill with provisions that were struck down by the Senate parliamentarian. Even though House Republicans already congratulated themselves in a series of speeches, the House will have to vote again on Wednesday, after the Senate passes the final tax bill. House Republicans had passed what they thought would be the final tax proposal on Tuesday 227-203, with 12 Republicans voting no.

But now the Senate will send back to the House a similar bill ― with the stricken provisions omitted ― before the tax legislation will go to President Donald Trump for his signature. It’s a small gaffe, but one typical of this process. Republicans rushed a bill to the floor and ended up embarrassing themselves.

The hypocrisy is stunning. If it was guns related then anything political would be in bad taste of course. Man this country

Dissolve the special relationship

He certainly is doing his best to alienate the US with its allies. He forgets that he needs them just as much as they need the US. Making empty threats with countries that have your bases and soldiers living there is never a good idea. It just makes him look more foolish.

I hope now people see through this lady. She is no champion they were making her out to be last week, she is one of his stooges quite simply. The cheek of her to sit there making empty threats like the douche in charge.
