That's the thing, with a population of over 300 million, America should never rank the worst in anything per capita, having the size to absorb freak occurrences and statistical aberrations. And yet it absolutely blows the rest of the developed world away in terms of violent crime, corruption, poverty and now Covid cases. Per capita measurements really highlight how generally terrible the US is at some things, and on a massive scale
