This is a plausible explanation.
Nope. He is live on CNN right now. He came to the studio.
I hope they wrap up their interivew then and call his family/friends come to the studio to pick him up.,Wait...she just said she could smell alcohol on his breath.
While I think this is true to some extent, genuinely don't think you can draw equivalence on this issue. Annoying the other side isn't the sole (or certainly major) unifying principle on the left the way it (currently) is on the right. The left doesn't have massive media machines (Fox, Breitbart, Infowars) dedicated solely to that enterprise, nor does it run and throw its entire weight behind Presidential candidates for whom that is their measure of success.Sad, but that's where we are: two sides who enjoy pissing each other off more than understanding issues and coming to compromises.

Jon Stewart's schtick was to make fun of Fox & the rest, he was very funny to be fair. Now that he's gone everyone seems to be doing it: Colbert, Kimmel, Noah, Oliver...except none of them aren't half as funny.
Then you've got the media who have very little positive things to say about views or people associated with conservative politics. It's a big focus for them and their readers.
From my perspective both sides are as bad as each other.
