Ben Carson is a really odd guy.
During the primary he never seemed the sharpest knife in the drawer, heck some of his foreign policy interviews made Sarah Palin look well briefed, yet he was reportedly an excellent neurosurgeon who now appears to be using HUD to steer business to his kids.
Unfortunately means a legislative solution likely to be punted into next year but at least DACA renewals can still take place.

Probably a positive thing - with a little luck there'll be a Democratic majority in Congress by then, and they can put a clean bill through. (Bearing in mind that a clean DACA bill could almost certainly pass both Houses today, but Paul Ryan won't bring it for a vote).
Trump might veto (though he'd then make it 100% clear that HE is the one stopping it), but depending on how big the 2018 "wave" is, there might be close to the votes for an override.

Personally would think it would be an inappropriate question to ask Tiffany.
However Ivanka needs to decide if she is a non political family member or such an important member of the Trump administration that she can brief our allies on sanctions and quit expecting to get the best of both worlds.
