Trump told McCabe to ask his wife how it felt to be a loser: report

President Trump reportedly told then-acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe that he should ask his wife, who had lost a bid for political office in Virginia, how it felt to be a loser, NBC News reported Monday.

Trump made the remarks in a phone call to McCabe the day he fired FBI Director James Comey that was placed to demand why Comey was allowed to fly on a FBI plane from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., after being fired.

McCabe told Trump that he hadn’t been asked about the flight but that he would have authorized it if he had.

Trump fell silent before lashing out at McCabe and telling him to ask his wife what it felt like to be a loser, according to NBC.
The FBI head replied, “OK, sir,” before Trump ended the call.

McCabe’s wife had run as a Democrat for state office in Virginia but had lost the race.

As part of that political bid, she accepted nearly $500,000 in donations from a super PAC linked to Hillary Clinton and former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe.

Trump has repeatedly noted the link between McCabe and Clinton, and has criticized McCabe publicly over Twitter.

He also reportedly asked McCabe who he voted for during an introductory meeting in the Oval Office.

The new report comes the same day it was reported that McCabe was stepping down as deputy director of the FBI amid attacks by Trump and Republicans.

Of course the sanctions aren't necessary to implement - Russia isn't even in the top three of nations most likely to interfere in US politics.
lollollollollollol

Which three other nations?

Multiple US agencies have said that Russian tried to interfere in the 2016 elections via hacking and other methods. Do you believe that isn’t an issue?
And international intelligence agencies from almost every major ally of the US

Celebrity chef José Andrés on Sunday walked back claims Ivanka Trump had him thrown out of an elite after-party at a D.C. restaurant, saying he’s “ready to move on” after the incident prompted an uproar. Andrés, an outspoken critic andformer legal foe of President Trump, had suggested on Twitter late Saturday that Ivanka Trump may have been to blame after he was barred from entering an event at Cafe Milano. “‘Everyone’ welcome to the after-party, but I’m not allowed in? Is (sic) because Ivanka Trump told you so?” Andrés wrote, telling the owner, Franco Nuschese, “You should be ashamed of yourself.” Jorge Guajardo, Mexico’s former ambassador to China, backed up Andrés’ account, saying the chef was asked to leave “apparently because his presence made Ivanka uncomfortable.” Ivanka Trump later denied any involvement in the debacle and Cafe Milano said Andrés simply wasn’t on the guest list. At that point, Andrés backed down, saying he believed Trump “personally had nothing to do” with his ouster.

As usual, the original tweet probably got 20k retweets, the retraction will go largely unnoticed.

LPGA legend Suzann Pettersen is fond of the sitting U.S. president. But she's not so sure about his handicap.

In an interview with Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang, Pettersen detailed the many sides to her relationship with President Trump, whom she has known on and off the golf course for over a decade.

"He cheats like hell," the 15-time LPGA Tour winner said. "So I don't quite know how he is in business. They say that if you cheat at golf, you cheat at business." Pettersen also said the president must pay his caddies well, as drives that are headed for the woods always ends up back in the fairway. She also mentioned his fondness for gimmes.

The merits of President Trump's 3 handicap have come under scrutiny since he took office. Sen. Lindsey Graham told GOLF.com's Michael Bamberger about a round of 73 Trump shot in "wet, windy conditions," and aspiring pro Taylor Funk recently reported that Trump had shot 36 on the front nine during their round together. But Pettersen hasn't seen that side of his game.

"He always says he is the world's best putter. But in all the times I've played him, he's never come close to breaking 80," she said.

"But what's strange is that every time I talk to him he says he just golfed a 69, or that he set a new course record or won a club championship some place. I just laugh."

Pettersen, who used to talk on the phone monthly with Trump, said she knows how much he cares and that she's glad the two have stayed in touch since the election, even though she doesn't agree with many of his policies.

Suzann Pettersen greets President Trump at Trump International Golf Club in 2007.

"I'm not a supporter of what he says or stands for," she said. "I thought it was very strange during the presidential campaign that he wasn't smarter about how he communicated."

Pettersen caught criticism for tweeting out congratulations to Trump after his 2016 election victory.

"He could have won more easily, but made some blunders with his statements," she said. "That's because he is so stubborn. He has not changed five millimeters since becoming president."

Ironically, president Trump and the Republicans, who control the federal government right now, could release this memo.

Jokes

In the same interview she said "The allegations in the Wall Street Journal were deeply troubling. They were so troubling that within 24 hours, Steve was no longer our finance chair."
Why is it only his money that gets due process, surely if they were following that logic he should still have his job until the investigation is complete? And what investigation is she talking about - the Wynn corporation one? The same corporation that has likely turned a blind eye to these numerous accusations in the past?
