He's way less important than he thinks he is, and no one I know cares one jot whether he comes or not.

The one thing I do think is stupid, is this argument that the Queen will be relieved and it's a weight of her shoulders. As if she is one bit worried or intimidated by Trump. She is more than capable and has dealt with plenty of nasty leaders, and ones with much more brutal regimes than Trump. If anything she'd put him in his place.

She'll have been training the corgis to wee on Trump lookalikes feet for months, no doubt.

That's not the issue though; it'd be relief that she won't be legitimising him by hosting him.

The next US president will be invited here and arrive within a month I'm guessing to hammer home the point that the UK doesn't view Trump as a 'real' President; we simply view him as Trump - an orange, narcissist, opportunist, braindead racist.

That would all be well and good. Except it looks extremely hypocritical when you consider China has had numerous state visits, and people like Mugabe have had one too. Not to mention George Bush, the leader of the free world into illegal wars for oil money.

But hysteria will beat any argument these days.

I cringe at some of the protesters, Nowhere to be seen when Putin came calling or the Chinese Premier
