If Trump issues any pardons for federal crimes, Mueller need only impose these state-level charges. He has likely refrained from pressing them at the federal level so he can employ them later if necessary at the state level while avoiding double jeopardy.

This is why it's a near certainty that everyone he has charged so far is co-operating fully. He has them all over a barrel.

As to the Russia connection, the whole point of the special investigation is to find out what, if anything, actually happened. And given that Mueller is clearly flipping even the National Security Advisor to chase bigger fish, I expect we will eventually find out.

To say nothing of whatever other indiscretions emerge as part of the investigation - money-laundering, obstruction of justice, violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act...

Tbh I think one of the levers Mueller is using is Flynn Jnr. He was his Dad's chief of staff and actively involved in their firms consulting and lobbying work yet his name was conspicuously absent in the plea deal. My guess is that Mueller has threatened that if Flynn reneges on his plea deal and takes a pardon then, rather than pursue him with other offenses or charge jnr with federal crimes that could also be pardoned, they will just get a state AG to file state charges which the president is powerless to pardon.

So far flynn has been indicted on the one charge everyone knows he's guilty of. Where does it say he has immunity from other charges or even that this is likely?

Dude you are speculating because the media organisations have created this story and are presenting opinion as fact. You will be disappointed but maybe when that happens the veil may be lifted.

He has immunity from the FARA charges but other items such as the possible kidnapping plot are not covered. More info on what is covered in the plea deal, and what is not, can be found here

We know the fbi agent used the Clinton dossier to get a warrant to monitor the Trump campaign. We know it's a dossier mostly debunked. We know the political views of this agent. We know Mueller fired him when he took over.

My theory is that the FBI was working with the Clinton organisation to cover up the email story until eventually Comey tried to cover his ass leading to what he said during the election. Russia was always a nothing story used to deflect from this. They then hoped the Trump team would screw up and they could get him on a technicality. That may have still happened but even if it has I doubt Congress would impeach him for that creating a constitutional crisis which would probably go all the way to the supreme Court.

Paul Manafort and Carter Page have both been under FBI surveillance dating back to 2014 due to their ties to Ukraine/Russia, long before the Presidential campaign ties, so the charge the FBI was monitoring the "Trump Campaign" is just cheap diversion.

Claiming the Russia issue is a nothing story and was concocted by the Clinton Campaign is simply delusional.
