bless how excited this guys getting over it, its almost as if he thinks something will come from it.

lost count of how many 'this is it, he's going down' tweets i've read in the last year. id stilll bet my house on Trump seeing out the full 4 years barring ill health.

I'm yet to be convinced there is anything whereby he'll be impeached etc.

One year in and what exactly have they found? A few people linked to Trump and his campaign spoke to some Russians.

Collusion, obstruction of justice, etc.

We aren’t privy to the investigation.

He's an attorney...most of his threads are an attempt to connect all the dots, as an attorney would.

We've already seen 2 guilty pleas bargains and two others are indicted. This movie is just getting started.

If the house and senate are flipped in 2018, you will see articles of impeachment.

The republicians got what they always wanted. A stooge to pass a regressive tax policy that not even a supply-side bot like Mitt Romney would sign. He's of no use to them anymore, in fact let the impeachment hearings begins. After all there is always a chance he unleashes his millions of stupids on us oligarchs so lets bring in a blue-dog dem to refill the treasury for us to loot again.

I had a bizarre dream last night in which the current First Lady of the United States was having a sordid affair with Jacob Rees-Mogg.

When Trump found out and went round to Rees-Mogg's house to confront him, Rees-Mogg came to the door dressed in a flamboyant kimono. Trump barged into the house and went to the bedroom, where Melania was laying in the nude. Trump demanded that she leave with him, but Rees-Mogg grabbed hold of the President, called him a "baldy tit" and knocked him out with a right hook. When Trump came to, Rees-Mogg shouted: "Get out of here before I give you a real beat down."

Trump promptly left.

Hmm. Think they all voted against it. Does my head in that.

Progressive commentators (I think that's the correct label), who only seem to attack democrats. Jimmy Dore immediately comes to mind.

A lot of comments replying to her are pointing this out:

Clinton proposed slashing corporate taxes in order to encourage repatriation, and lowering the repatriation tax rate - exactly what the Republicans claim to be doing - and if she had been elected President, the entire party would have voted for it.

That doesn't excuse what the Republicans are doing, but the gap in practice between the two is quite a bit narrower than most people realise, or care to grapple with

I've already said the taxes are what they are. My problem is all of the crap they've lumped into the bill.

As far as I know they've layer on:

-removing the individual mandate for health care...effectively killing the ACA.
-allowing drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge
-included language that says life starts at conception...effectively challenging Roe v Wade.

It's not a tax bill. It's a right wing agenda bill.

Tell you what, if I was Trump, I'd be doing anything I could to stop this tax bill from passing...

That's the ball game for republicans, the "Donor Relief Bill 2017".

Once that passes, the motivation of the R's in Congress and Senate to protect Trump gets a LOT weaker.

I think Republicans are also considerably underestimating how annoyed their "traditional" supporters in some states are by the fact the bill will raise their taxes by thousands due to personal exemptions and SALT deductions being eliminated, especially as it adds to the deficit.

"18. I am done. I donated to these people my whole adult life, and my tax hike for one year is going to cost more than all that. I am done being a sucker."

California is considered as a blue state but even so in 14 of its 53 congresspeople are Republicans.

Dems only need to retake 24 seats to regain the control of the House...GOP seems to be gambling that their new white working class voters remain despite them getting very little in this bill.
