Because the cheese eaters are mainly conservatives.
Milwaukee and Madison would mainly be blue but everywhere else is mainly red. Its all farms up there and old school industries.

There’s far too much of us and them in this thread. Democrats trying to humiliate Republicans and people being demonised for where they live or the beliefs they hold. The same happens in the U.K. (see the scummy tories thread), where left wingers wage an endless attack upon other decent folk purely for a belief in what is best. These divisions of course keep the media in business, and really crap politicians employed. One day we will all grow up and get past all this.......

do you know anything about Wisconsin pete? have you ever been?
what is happening there (and many places like it) is alarming for some of American's most militant, partisan conservatives

the world is heading in a very dark direction, and responding with the reflexive "but both sides!/kumbaya" routine from afar is a reflection more of ignorance than of wisdom
How about when the beliefs they hold are that voting for a guy who has credible accusations of molesting teenagers is OK so the rival party doesn’t get in?There’s far too much of us and them in this thread. Or voting pretty much sight unseen for a bill that they “believe but aren’t sure” won’t explode the deficit?
For me there are positions that reasonable people can disagree on - those two aren’t it.
Oh I agree, but it’s the polarisation that I find disturbing, on all sides.......
