Inside Hillary Clinton’s Secret Takeover of the DNC
When I was asked to run the Democratic Party after the Russians hacked our emails, I stumbled onto a shocking truth about the Clinton campaign.

https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/11/02/clinton-brazile-hacks-2016-215774

of course, she still managed to leak Hillary the debate questions...

this helps explain why Trump won, and why even now the most senior people in the Democratic Party believe that in 2020 “Of course, Trump could win... We’re the party that doesn’t have a message that speaks to the country or stand for anything other than being against Trump.”
Read the whole thing. And that's just within the party structure. Imagine what she did to the state department, whose institutional core is and was much more sympathetic to HRC's policies than it is to Trump's. She leverages relationships that were laid down twenty years earlier.

It is an incomprehensible miracle that she lost.

edit - The best part about the Brazile snippet. She mentions Marc Elias in connection with the cash funneling deal between the DNC and the Hillary campaign. Elias is the lawyer that used Clinton campaign cash to pay for the Steele Dossier. This puts Elias right in the nexus of managing campaign cash for Hillary and ties Elias to Mook and other top Clinton staff.

you'd be more convincing if your attitude was "a pox on both your houses" instead of "a pox on only this one house, but not the other, for reasons that I don't feel the need to disclosed"

does it bother you at all what is happening at the EPA, for instance? or i suppose that sort of corruption is okay because the whole agency was some sort of communist plot from the beginning? gerrymandering? anything?

i just don't see how things like this, or even counterfactual grumblings about Clinton can bother you so much, yet without even the hint of a whisper about all the sleaze that is actually transpiring, blatantly, every day.

is it just that it's galling to admit that the people you disagree with were mostly right about how bad Trump would be? or embarrassing for someone of your intelligence that so much else of what Republicans levy against Hillary is such obvious bullsh*t?

but then what do I know - I, for instance, don't see any "integrity" in the architect of rigging Wisconsin's elections so that the party that gets a permanent minority of the vote wins permanent majorities in the legislature.

the right is not even interested in providing any alternative to any of this - from them it's nothing more than whining that theirs aren't the only noses at the trough. and it's difficult to conclude that your objections to Clinton are anything more than a rhetorical device for whingeing about people who you viscerally dislike.

on paying for the Steele dossier:

^Eli Lake is a 'Lets Invade Iran' nutter, by the way, not some Berkeley flower pinko.

or can you explain why the Democratic campaign was corrupt AND why the Republican campaign was in the clear?

You assume my purpose is to convince. Start from another premise.

Of course I can. That's doesn't mean I'm obligated to do so.

of course you're not obligated, but we'd be grateful if did, all the same.

pretty please, with high-fructose corn syrup on top?

It's all rotten. It's just a lot more rotten on the left than the right for a lot of reasons, some structural, some ideological. The considerable rot on the right is a big reason behind Trump's success in leveraging all the free support he got from the media prior to his nomination. The core reason we got Trump and will likely keep him for seven more years is the purest popular reaction to the increasing knowledge of the depth of all the rot.

Meanwhile back at the ranch Hillary is determined to run again, and this not-so-slow leak from Brazile is part of the pushback against the institutional march of the Clinton organs of power for that attempt. The fact that HRC seems to be serious about doing this is a clue to the depth of the self-delusion that informs her insular culture.

Trump wins because he's not a creature of the Washington rot, he brings his own rot with him. All attempts to uncover any of that rot makes folks see all the Washington rot that the anti-Trump police are trying to avoid, because the powers that be have lost control of that danged narrative, whether it's gospel or fake news. Harder to tell which is which, really. Whataboutisms turn out to be a diminishing answer to new revelations.

Popcorning could become an Olympic sport by 2020.

If I was a Trumpling though, I'd be mighty peeved that Trump turned out to be so rotten that instead of contesting the existing Republican rot, he surrendered to it before even taking office, mostly because he's no more than a confused old man too lazy to wreak any real rot of his own. he does irritate the right people on twitter though, I suppose. personally, I'd rather have healthcare, but then I am a Berkeley flower pinko.

#Rötterdämmerung2020

why do you think the rot is worse on the left? who is the Republican Bernie, for example? or does he not count because he's a North Korean sleeper agent? is some child complaining about microaggressions on the internet truly the gravest crisis facing America?
