You obviously have no clue about the countries listed. Most of the countries listed are actually better off than Trump makes out and have no issues with terrorism nor have any of their people been listed on the FBI wanted list or flagged. Most of the terrorist who have been flagged and who have plotted or caused pain in a foriegn land were from developed countries like Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Britain, Holland, Germany and of course the US itself.
I am an immigrant to the US so i know how hard and strict already it is to get a visa so BS on you thinking its easy to walk in and out that's pure tripe. There is no need for bans especially focused on the arab and muslim world because quite simply the system is already good enough here.

Tell me what other news sites do you watch? You assume i simply watch NBC and CNN even though i never once mentioned them. I am from Ireland and i now am naturalized in the US. I like a broad spectrum of news fromt he european to the independants to the mainstream, i don't like to sit on certain sites and news. There are others on here too i know are the same from their posts. Don't assume leftys stick to those sites. But if you are citing sources from Fox and only fox then of course you are in line with the right even if you don't realise it or not as you have said nothing to make us think otherwise.

Where have I assumed you only watch CNN and NBC. I simply asked a question about critiquing these channels as you only seem to be in favour of doing so with Fox.
I said I watched Tucker Carlson on youtube. That would suggest I don't have access to Fox. I like reading from everything too, I've already stated this. I also don't shy away from the fact Trump has his issues. Show me where I have. My position is he is now the President so get used to it, for at least four years anyway. How about working with him to get stuff done rather than the usual position of " oh Trump thought of that, it must be no good ".

Of the countries on the current travel ban which would you like to be taken off and why ? What is so wrong about Trump wanting to protect the American people ? His duty is to the American people, not anyone else. He is not the President of the World. I know in the past some might think the POTUS must be.
Which countries are better off than Trump makes out ? Of the current list I'm not sure I'd travel to any. Actually I wouldn't.

I think the point that most have with the travel ban is that its politically motivated rather than safety motivated. The travel ban wouldn't have stopped the Las Vegas shooter, for instance, or any of the other mass shootings that are mostly perpetrated by American citizens, yet there's absolutely no indication that gun laws are even something Trump wants to address because he knows gun ownership is a political hot potato among his base.
So instead he prefers to create the image that both jobs and security will be solved if he's tougher on foreigners. It's classic 'in group/out group' pandering, and whilst it's undoubtedly effective in a political sense, in reality it won't do a blind bit to improve either the safety or the economy of those he claims to represent.
It most certainly is about the system in the US... Why would the US care how immigrants come and go in those countries if they already have a system to refuse them or turn them away here.
Only 15 countries operate a visa waiver with the US as in they can fill out a form and visit the US without applying for a visa as a visditor (holidaymaker, non working etc....). Of those the majority are the countries who are allies and EU members. I think the UK has a lsighlty different system as in not the same waiver.
So the US already restricts those countries as it does not allow free movement from them.
Technically then they cannot fly direct or indirectly to the US without applying for a US visa.
This ban is saying to them no visas will be offered at all to them. It has nothing to do with their system or their governments systems (countries in question)
You show me facts were the US has had trouble with these nations with immigration then as its been widely reported that the US has never had issues with them no more than any other country.

If...and I do mean if...the travel ban was about security, then surely Saudi Arabia and Egpyt would have ranked 1 and 2?
