No problem, we can agree to disagree. I don't hold Trump voters in high esteem; I don't even hold them in low esteem. We all heard what Trump said on the campaign trail, and when you hear all that and step into the voting booth--well, then, see my post above for what that makes them. And if by chance someone didn't hear what Trump said, but still voted for him, then that makes them willfully ignorant. And if a handful voted for him out of pure naivete ("the lesser of two evils and all that") then them being called "knuckle-draggers" is a small price for them to pay for putting this clown in office. They'll get over it.

It's worth remembering that only about 24% of those eligible to vote, voted for him.

I agree with this. Half of Americans are knuckle draggers for voting for Trump. What's happening now isn't a bait and switch. Everyone knew what they were getting themselves into. And if they didn't, well, I don't even know how to respond to that.

There's loads of parallels between him and Hitler. An authoritarian narcissist who detests democratic institutions and wishes to rule by diktat wherever possible, and has leveraged their position of power off the back of perceived injustices by the populace, has very strong prejudices towards certain groups of people with a growing paramilitary force of racists behind him.

In fact, it's harder to find differences between the two. It is disingenuous to ignore the similarities based solely on genocide and ignoring the actual politics, personality and procedure of the two.
