He'll just settle out of court like he's done his entire life.

I can forgive mistakes; everyone makes them. But those who took the moral high-road by voting 3rd party aren't looking so good now.
Don't and never will understand the 'they're both the same' crowd.
Wow, this is depressing from Hume who I usually respect even if disagree with.
If, and I still think it unlikely, the Trump campaign was colluding with the Russians to alter the course of the election it would be a lot more than just "alarming and highly inappropriate"!
When you are going with a "not technically illegal" defence you know you are in very dark moral waters and not even sure it would be true as I'd assume it is classed as giving aid and comfort to an enemy.

I can't believe he actually still has support from anyone...even his base.
Yes. The Green Party in particular is utter garbage in the United States. They do virtually nothing apart from quixotic virtue-signalling in the Presidential contests every four years, and hibernating 'til the next time. They are a thoroughly un-serious party, uninterested in even the most basic political organising, and satisfied with existing solely to allow sanctimonious lefties to parade their self-perceived exceptionalism. They are the equivalent of footy fans who affect scorn for the Football League by pretending to care about Dulwich Hamlet.
And there are real opportunities, where a serious third party is desperately needed. I used to live in Manhattan, where the Democrats have won my old congressional district by at least 80% for decades. It's the same story city-wide, across the congressional, state, and municipal levels. And the lack of any real competition has made the Democrat machine there profoundly corrupt and unresponsive, with elections and decisions resolved months in advance behind closed doors. If I could vote (Taxation Without Representation!) I'd almost be tempted to go Republican, just to try to shake things up, if the preordainedness hadn't also precluded anyone but the very worst Ayn Rand/conspiracy masturbators to line up for the GOP.
Places like Brooklyn and Queens are desperate for a meaningful, progressive alternative to compete against the Democrats, or at least keep them honest (like the Libertarians do in the West). But, although they would make real progress in local elections there, you'll never see so much as a Green Party poster, led alone the consciousness or desire needed to organise anything meaningful. It's a frivolous luxury party.
Me too. I wish they tried harder though. To be fair, it is deliberately quite difficult to get on the ballot, a legacy of Red Scares past.I'm actually in favor of third parties for local elections, but makes little sense with POTUS
